In 2004 British manufacturer Arcam, who specialises in hi-end audio and home cinema separates, has caused quite a stir when it released the world's first true hi-fi system in one box - Arcam Solo. Compact, beautifully presented with audiophile music reproduction it has won numerous hi-fi (as well as design) awards and has played a crucial role in introducing hi-fi sound to the whole new group of music lovers. Fast forward to spring 2007 and Arcam is unveiling another first - Arcam Solo Movie 5.1 - the most comprehensive all in one home cinema system ever produced, featuring world class sound and picture quality in one exquisitely presented and easy to use package. Solo Movie 5.1 is just as talented as its predecessor in stereo music reproduction but can now also play DVD, DVD-Audio and SADC, supports 5.1 surround sound, uses internal 1080 video scaler and HDMI switching and can be integrated with iPod not only for music but also for Video with all iPod text appearing on the front panel display of the unit.
